22 + 2 Twins

“ In June of 2023, Gavin and Wyatt were born at 22 weeks and 2 days weighing just over 1 pound each (1lb 1.5oz, 1lb 0.4oz). They spent 164 days in the NICU before they were able to come home with oxygen and fully fed by g tubes.

Wyatt is the smallest baby to ever have his PDA closed in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital. Gavin suffered brain damage and was diagnosed with PVL while in the NICU and cerebral palsy in December 2024.

Despite their prematurity and health complications, Gavin and Wyatt turn 2 today, June 19 2025. Wyatt has caught up on nearly all his milestones, he’s curious, loves to climb and is very sassy. Gavin is working diligently to stand and walk independently and has mastered crawling, pull to stand and more. Both boys have been off oxygen for over a year, both G tubes are out and taking all nutrition by mouth.
