“I never thought I would be a NICU parent after having 3 perfectly healthy babies… but in August of 2023, I gave birth to my 4th daughter 10 weeks early.

I never knew pain like having to leave her in the NICU every single day for 6 weeks.

To me, bravery in the NICU means putting on a strong face & learning all the hospital lingo, the tips and tricks, the alarms, the feedings, everything you need to, even when your heart is falling apart. I think about how my tiny baby needs me and it made everything so much better. I know bravery thanks to seeing my 3 pound baby girl Hosanna, fighting for her life. She was so brave; and so strong. I just wanted to be brave like her… she gave me the courage to keep going every single day. ❤️

1 year later, we raised books for NICU Awareness Month and the read-a-thon, we went back to see the NICU that saved her life and the amazing people who changed our lives.” NICU Mama, Abby
